Late Start Fridays at Pre-K

Classes will begin at 10:10 each Friday. This allows for valuable collaboration time for Pre-K teachers. Lee’s Summit R-7 will continue to offer a no-cost before-school program for students at all schools on late start Fridays. Summit Rise will be supervised by Pre-K support staff members. Student supervision will be provided from 9:00-10:10 am, then students will report to classrooms. Breakfast will be served beginning at approximately 10:00 am.  A few things to note about Friday Summit Rise:

If you are bringing your student to school early for Summit Rise on Fridays: 

• You may drop your student off beginning at 9:00 am
• You must park in a parking spot and walk your student to the front doors, where you will be greeted by a staff member.
• You can not park in the front drive (PVE buses will be unloading there)
• You must enter through the north entrance off Todd George (where you would typically exit), NOT the south entrance route for the car line that goes around the building.  PVE will be doing arrival and buses will be parked in our front drive. 
• The cut-off time for drop-off is 9:40, we will not be accepting students for Summit Rise after 9:40.

If you are NOT planning to drop your child off early on Fridays, we will begin unloading cars in the car line at 9:55. You will enter on the south side of the building, as usual, to get in the car drop-off line.
