The Great Beginnings Pre-Kindergarten program is housed on the North end of Prairie View Elementary. 

Separate from our Great Beginnings Early Education Center programs, LSR7's pre-K program serves up to 200 students at Prairie View Elementary, 501 SE Todd George Parkway. It includes tuition-based and free programs.

Thanks to the Missouri Quality Pre-K Grant (MOQPK) from Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), all students during the pre-K program's inaugural year attended tuition-free.

Eligibility (2024-25 School Year):

  • Must turn 4 prior by July 31, 2024.
  • Must live in the Lee's Summit R-7 School District boundaries
  • Must provide transportation to and from program

Parent/guardian involvement is an integral part of the Early Childhood Programs. Parents/guardians are encouraged to enroll in the Parents as Teachers program, you can enroll online at Parents as Teachers.
